To say that this day was beautiful would be an understatement. After meeting them for their engagement session, I knew Lauren’s and Jason’s 1920’s Gatsby-inspired wedding at Omni Grove Park Inn would be one for the books! And I wasn’t wrong. It’d be really hard to find such sweet humans, plus such a refined knack for character and detail. (Please look at their amazingly unique reception decor!)
However, more than the details of their day, I’d have to say it was the sweet, safe love they share that made their wedding so memorable. There’s so much to admire about these two: the way they wrote letters to one another before the event; the way they locked eyes on one another; the way Jason was taken aback, first by her letter, and then by her beauty walking down the aisle; the way they quietly incorporated Parks and Recreation music into the reception.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for an Asheville wedding, either. You never know what you’re going to get out there in the mountains, especially as the weather gets colder. But we were blessed with a perfectly cool, sunny day! It was nice for the guests to enjoy the relaxed fun indoors and outdoors (with the help of some blankets, of course–provided by the happy couple, no less).
An awesome thing about photographing at Omni Grove Park Inn is, no matter the weather or couple, I can always find somewhere for us to create some gorgeous pictures! They really chose a great venue to be married at and celebrate with their loved ones.
